Julie
Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator
Julie works in our front office and will greet you with a warm and genuine smile. She works closely with our patients, assisting them with scheduling and insurance, and in whatever manner is needed. Julie joined our office in 2010, and she enjoys interacting with patients and helping to make each visit a positive one. She appreciates working with our doctors because of their caring and personable way with patients and staff. Raised in Honolulu, HI and an avid live music and sports fan, Julie graduated from Arizona State University with a BS in Justice Studies in 1997. She relocated to Oak Harbor in 2010 from Newport Beach, CA. and is recently married to Tony.
Charity
Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator
Charity is one of the first smiling faces to greet you when you come into our office. She works closely with our patients, assisting them in scheduling, insurance and reviewing treatment plans. She began her dental career in 1994 and joined our office in 2012. Charity loves getting to know our patients and contributing to our team, and she appreciates the compassion our doctors express for their patients. Charity is a busy mother of three, and she and her husband relocated to Oak Harbor with the Navy in 2011. She enjoys outdoor sports and spending quality time with her family.
Carol
Dental Hygienist
Carol assists our patients in improving their oral health through patient education, professional cleanings and periodontal care. She joined our office in 2000 and brought with her 14 years of hygiene experience. Carol enjoys working with our patients and getting to know them on a personal level. She also enjoys working with our doctors because of their genuine concern for their patients’ best interests. Carol has two children, twin boys, and a black Labrador retriever. She enjoys the outdoors and staying active.
Kris
Dental Hygienist
Kris helps our patients to improve their oral health through preventive and maintenance care, dental cleanings and patient education. She began her career in dentistry 33 years ago and joined our team in 2013. Kris enjoys that her days are spent interacting with, and helping our patients. She loves working with our doctors because of their caring and highly educational approach to giving their patients the best quality care. Kris grew up in a very large family in Wisconsin. She loves the outdoors and claims to be a fair weather explorer. She is happily married to Mike who is the love of her life.
Kara
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Kara is our go-to girl, assisting our doctors and the rest of our team with just about everything. She is proud to have worked here almost her entire dental career, starting in 2001. Kara loves coming to work every day to help people feel confident about their smiles. She appreciates the professional relationship she has with our doctors, which centers on their mutual goal of striving for perfection and accepting nothing short of the best. Kara was recently appointed by our governor for a four year term serving on the WA State Dental Quality Assurance Commission. The board works extremely hard to insure the highest standard of care is enforced to all WA state dental professionals. Kara and her husband Brandon welcomed their first child in September.
Claire
Dental Assistant
Claire helps our patients by assisting our doctors with dental procedures as well as many other support tasks within our office. She has been working in the dental field since 2010 and joined our team in 2012. Claire enjoys getting to know our patients and helping them achieve a great smile. She loves working with our doctors because she continues to expand her dental knowledge and uses the latest advancements in technology to provide our patients with the best possible care. Claire enjoys staying active by lifting weights and swimming. She and her husband Gaelan have a whippet named Alex.
Erika
Dental Assistant
Erika helps our patients by assisting our doctors during dental procedures. She has worked in the dental field since 2008 and joined our team in 2013. Erika enjoys helping patients have a comfortable experience and making each visit with us as seamless as possible. She enjoys working with our doctors and is pleased to be part of a great team that really puts patients’ needs first. Erika was born and raised in northern California, and recently moved to Whidbey Island with her husband Nick who is with the Navy. She loves to hike, Kayak, workout and travel with her husband. They have two Chinese crested powder puffs, Sniper and Wile.
Amighanne
Dental Assistant
Amighanne helps our patients by assisting our doctors during dental procedures, as well as managing the central sterilization area. She joined our team in 2011, and loves that she learns new things about dentistry every day. She enjoys working with our doctors because they routinely provide her with opportunities to learn and improve upon her skills. Amighanne speaks fluent Tagalog and is able to share that ability with our patients. She grew up in Oak Harbor, and graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 2007. In her spare time, Amighanne loves to cook and dance, and especially enjoys spending time with her family.
